What services are included in the school trip package?

By default, all our school trips include transportation and accommodation. From there, services such as activities, cultural visits, insurance, or meals can be added according to the group's needs. We work with flexible packages that adapt to each school's budget and preferences.

What types of trips do we offer?

We specialize in educational trips and language immersion programs for international students in Spain. Our programs include stays with host families to maximize cultural and linguistic immersion, Spanish courses, cultural visits, and educational activities adapted to different school levels. We also develop thematic programs such as sports camps and technology programming camps.

What safety measures are implemented during the trip?

During all our trips, we implement measures to guarantee group safety, such as selecting reliable accommodations and suppliers adapted to students. Additionally, the CumLaude team maintains a 24-hour emergency phone line operational throughout the entire trip duration to provide immediate support to teachers in any situation.

Is it possible to customize the trip itinerary?

Yes, all our school trips are 100% customizable. We design each itinerary in collaboration with the teaching staff, taking into account educational objectives, student interests, and available budget. This allows us to offer a unique experience tailored to each group.

What is the booking and payment process for the trip?

The booking is confirmed with an initial deposit, which we usually use to block transportation tickets. From there, 2 or 3 partial payments are established until the trip departure. The trip must be completely paid before the departure date.

What are the payment options for the trip?

By default, the payment system for trips — both school trips and language immersion trips — is managed centrally by the educational center. That is, the center contracts the trip and assumes economic management with families. This modality facilitates coordination and ensures fluid communication between the school and CumLaude.

What documentation do students need to travel to Spain?

For EU citizens:
EU students must travel with valid documentation, either ID card or passport. In all cases, a minor's permit is mandatory for students under 18 years of age.

For non-EU citizens:
Non-EU students must travel with a valid passport. Depending on their nationality, they may also require a tourist visa or other specific authorizations to enter Spain. We recommend checking entry requirements well in advance, as processing times for visas can vary significantly.

How do we select our host families?

All our host families go through a rigorous selection process that includes personal interviews, reference verification, and home visits. Each family is supervised by local coordinators who handle daily management and incident resolution. We look for families with an authentic spirit of service, not just economic motivation, to guarantee a warm welcome and true cultural immersion.

What is the new regulation on guest registration in Spain?

From January 1, 2024, a new regulation comes into force throughout the Spanish State that requires all tourist accommodations, hostels, student residences, and similar establishments to register and communicate guest data to authorities.

This obligation is regulated by Order PCI/566/2019, of May 21, and updated by Order INT/321/2021, of March 31, which establishes how this data must be communicated to State Security Forces and Corps.

What does this regulation imply?
- According to the regulation, accommodation owners or managers must:
- Collect identifying data from all guests over 14 years old
- Register this data through an electronic registry book
- Communicate it, within a maximum period of 24 hours after guest entry, to the National Police, Civil - - - - - Guard, Mossos d'Esquadra, or other competent bodies, depending on accommodation location.
- Preserve records for 3 years.

Who is required to comply?
- Tourist accommodations (hotels, hostels, guesthouses, etc.).
- Tourist use housingStudent residences.
- Travel organizers with accommodation (such as schools or educational agencies managing stays).

Official sources:
Royal Decree 933/2021

Note: This registry is mandatory for crime prevention and to guarantee citizen security. Non-compliance may result in administrative sanctions.

What type of accommodation is offered for school trips?

We offer all accommodation modalities that you can see in our offer: hostels, hotels (usually 3-star), campgrounds, and host families. However, our specialty is stays with host families, as they offer much greater cultural and linguistic immersion compared to other options. This modality allows students to live an authentic experience, practicing the language daily and getting to know local traditions and lifestyle up close. In all cases, we prioritize safe, well-located accommodations adapted to school group needs.

How are students' special dietary needs managed?

In the usual booking process, we collect all students' special dietary needs, such as allergies, intolerances, celiac disease, or other specific requirements. This information is transferred to accommodation and catering providers so they can adapt meals and guarantee the safety and well-being of all students during the trip.

What happens in case of medical emergency during the trip?

If you have contracted medical insurance with us, you have the 24-hour assistance phone number of the insurance company that will assist you for any health issues that may arise during the trip. Additionally, the CumLaude team maintains an emergency phone line operational throughout the entire trip duration to provide immediate support to teachers when necessary.

How can parents get information during the trip?

CumLaude does not usually communicate directly with families during the trip. Parents must stay informed through channels established by each school or responsible teacher. Only in cases of urgency or exceptional situations will the CumLaude team contact affected families directly to inform and coordinate necessary actions.
